Anonymous launch massive attacks on Dept of Justice & other US Govt sites

Anonymous hackers have successfully attacked US Department of Justice,  Warner Music Group, Motion Picture Association of America and Universal Music Group’s website,  Anonymous is also carrying out attacks on White House’s website against yesterday’s raid on www.megaupload.com ( file sharing service) and PIPA and SOPA legislation.

According to RT, Anonymous representative Barrett Brown has told the firm that ” “It was in retaliation for Megaupload, as was the concurrent attack on Justice.org,”

RThas also reported that few hours ago the Universal Music Group and US Department of Justice websites were taken down by Hacktivists, then it was Recording Industry Association of America’s website to go down, after RIAA it was www.copyright.gov which went down, until last report, Broadcast Music Inc website was the last one to go down after massive attack by Anonymous hackers. While the Motion Picture Association of America was also taken down as the association is administrated by former senator Chris Dodd, who is a blind supporter of PIPA and SOPA bills.

Megaupload (Approx 50 million daily users) was taken down by the US government yesterday, 20 international search warrants have been issued and 4 people inNew Zealand are already arrested for their links with MegaUpload.com.

Brown told RT that “more is coming” and Anonymous-aligned hacktivists are pursuing a joint effort with others to “damage campaign raising abilities of remaining Democrats who support SOPA & operatives involved in the project will use an “experimental campaign” and search engine optimization techniques “whereby to forever saddle some of these congressmen with their record on this issue.”

It is time for everyone around the globe to speak out and protest against PIPA and SOPA legislation and stops the US’s government to pass such bills in the Congress. We @ HackRead stand against the PIPA and SOPA Legislation!!
