A pro-Palestinian hacker going with the handle of ‘AlFeRoX’ hacked and defaced the sub-domain of United Kingdom’s Department of Education in support of a free Palestine.
The targeted domain belongs to the social media page of the department of Education (facebook.education.gov.uk) that was left with a deface page along with a message againstIsrael and the USA.
The deface message left by the hacker is available below:
‘Hello world, freedom to Aqsa and Palestine! so america and israhell and all world! why all world fighting for nothing ? and people die for nothing ? i ask my self this why ? i don’t know but u sure you wan’t this ? war in Gaza people die war in Palestine people die so u don’t know why u started this war but this war will be limited and Insh’Allah will be stopped.’

It seems as if the hacker exploited critical vulnerability present in Drupal content-management framework.
At the time of publishing this article, UK’s Dept of Education was restored and working online.
