Apple iPhone 4S VS Samsung Galaxy S2 battle is on, First thing one notices after using both smart phones is the light weight of Samsung Galaxy S2, Yes- just 116g. Incredibly slim, measuring just 8.49mm it will fit into tightest of jeans pockets. But they certainly compromised on Build quality in this regard with body feels totally uninspiring and cheap. Power on one side and Controls on the other, an MHL dual purpose port and a 3.5mm jack on the top, this is your new Samsung Galaxy S2. It also includes a range of Streaming options such as DLNA.
The iPhone 4S has slight build changes after the antennagate issues that arose in the previous version of same device. While keeping the same form factor, the new iPhone switches between two antennas to transmit and receive which conveniently doubles the download speed. Upload speeds are same according to Apple.
S2 has Super AMOLED Plus technology incorporated in its 4.3-inch 800×480 screen. Colors are eye catching and off-angle viewing is brilliant too. Probably the first phone to have matched iPhone4 in this regard.A large screen is a joy to watch movies on but its always bulky. While playing movies we found that white spots are not as bright and clear as iPhone4 although black spots are better and bolder. 4S has same 3.5-inch Retina Display from previous iPhone4, With an 800:1 contrast ratio and 960x640p resolution. Retina Display gets reflective and difficult to admire in direct bright light but it is a charm to use indoors.
The Galaxy S2,one of the fastest smartphones you have ever used has a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. Whether you are browsing a web page or swapping between phone applications it never feels slow. During our tests we found that it loads pages quicker than iPhone4 as it opened T3.com in just 15 seconds. Fired by a dual core A5 chip iPhone 4S has dual core graphics functions which are 2 times faster than origional iPhone4 Chip and 7 times faster graphics handling capabilities. Increase in graphics usually reduces the talk time of smart phones but new iPhone 4S is an exception now which has its talk time increased by 8 hrs according to Apple.
Compairing the cameras of both, S2 has 8 megapixels camera which can shoot HD video at 720p and 1080p at 30fps and the results are quite fair. It don’t have a dedicated shutter you have to tap the virtual shutter which may not be up to the mark as iPhone is but it is acceptable. Colors look natural and S2 is good at controlling noise as well. iPhone 4S can give 3264 x 2448 photos with its 8 megapixels uprated camera. CMOSE sensor in latest version of Apple product gives 73% more light although it is 3 times slower.iPhone’s camera has 33% speed upgrade, 30 % picture sharpness upgrade, a high-end IR filter for greater accuracy and capability to shoot HD video with 1080p resolution.
Now the final verdict, Samsung S2 is the best phone so far from Team Android. So for all the Android fans out there, don’t hesitate to buy S2 but if you want to compare features,capabilities and functions of both these smart phones then no one can match Apple- Apple 4S is certainly better
