John McAfee who is the founder of McAfee anti-virus has told that he will unveil a gadget that would enable internet users to protect their activities and privacy from spying eyes of the NSA.
He has named the gadget as D-central and says that it will be devised with a cost of less than 100 dollars. He has given an interview on Saturday at the convention center at San Jose McEnery. He told that “this device would be able to communicate with tablets, Smartphones and other cell phone devices and will create a string of decentralized networks”. McAfee added, “because of the fact that such networks essentially float in the web world as private networks, it is almost impossible to hammer them down”.
During the conversation, McAfee acknowledged the fact that such a device could be used for the purpose of carrying out some wicked activities, but he washed away any criticism by simply adding that “the telephone is used for nefarious purpose”.
The interview can be watched on below given Youtube link:
McAfee has been a subject of some controversies over the period of last 12 months. He is considered a legend in the Silicon Valley as he has been successful by building his own antivirus company into a prominent software house of the industry. However, he had been the prime suspect of controversy last year when he was questioned by the authorities in Belize for the shooting of his neighbor. He told in his interview on Saturday that he had nothing to do with the killing and he flew out of Belize just to avoid the Dollar 2 million bribe which he was being asked to pay.

Keeping all other things aside, D-Central may prove to be the most controversial move that he has ever made. He said that he has been brainstorming his mind over this idea for some years now and has accelerated his effort to devise the gadget after the revelations that have been made by Edward Snowden (the former NSA contractor). Edward Snowden as we all know leaked many classified information and documents of the NSA’s spying program. It is quite possible that the US government may not allow him to sell the gadget in the US. However, he has not worried about such restriction because he said that he can sell D-Central in many other countries of the world.
McAfee said that “This is coming and cannot be stopped”.
He has declined to give out any further information about this gadget, but a website tendering further information about it will be launched in 174 days time.
