A group of Brazilian hackers from HighTech Brazil HackTeam has hacked and defaced the official website of Americana municipality of São Paulo, Brazil (www.americana.sp.gov.br) along with 10 of its sub-domains against the police brutality on people protesting against increase of bus fares.
The sites were hacked yesterday and left with a deface page, a Youtube video along with a message in Portuguese language in support of protesters and against the government.
According to the deface message in Portuguese:
- A luta da popula o contra o aumento das passagens de um transporte que se diz p blico est cada vez maior e mais forte! Mas a nica resposta do governo uma repress o policial mais truculenta e arbitr ria a cada ato. As ltimas manifesta es completamente pac ficas, foram recebidas com bombas e balas de borracha. Ficou claro que a viol ncia parte sempre da pol cia. Eles querem nos calar, nos separar, nos enfraquecer. Mas n s n o deixaremos! Ningu m vai nos deter em nosso direito de nos manifestar at a tarifa baixar!
