Jack Dorsey’s Twitter account was hacked AGAIN!

A group of hackers going by the handle of “Chuckle Squad” hacked the official Twitter account of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Friday afternoon.

Upon taking over the account, the hackers sent out several tweets filled with racial slurs. In of the tweets, the group posted a Discord link inviting people to join them on the site however the link was suspended by Discord within a few minutes.

Chuckle Squad recently made headlines for hacking Twitter and YouTube accounts of popular social media celebrities such as King Bash, Zane Hijazi, Shane Dawson, Etika, and James Charles

As for Dorsey, it is unclear how his account was taken over but a look at now-deleted tweets revealed that the group used Cloudhopper to send tweets from Dorsey’s account. Cloudhopper is a Twitter-owned service supporting the company to help its SMS service. This also suggests that the group may have breached Dorsey’s account by hacking a third-party app authorized on his account.

Twitter, on the other hand, also acknowledged that its CEO was indeed hacked. In a tweet, the company’s communication account said that “We’re aware that @jack was compromised and investigating what happened.”

Although, racist tweets from the compromised account were deleted with 10 minutes of the hack, the company later revealed that “The account is now secure, and there is no indication that Twitter’s systems have been compromised.”

This, however, is not the first time when Dorsey’s Twitter account has been hacked. In July 2016, “Our Mine” hackers compromised his Vine account which was also linked to his Twitter allowing hackers to post content on both platforms simultaneously.

Our Mine was also behind the hacking of Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai’s Quora and Twitter account and Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg Twitter and Pinterest accounts.

At the time of publishing this article; Dorsey’s Twitter account was restored.
