An Anonymous hacker going with the handle of @TheHorsemenLulz has hacked 4 official Social Media accounts of UAE‘s Dubai Police. The hacked accounts include LinkedIn, Pinterest and verified Twitter handle with 258k followers.
After hacking Dubai Police Twitter account, hacker started sending tweets; blaming the police for spying on people. One of the tweet said:
- Dubai Police is spying on you, Isn’t it fair that we the people do the same back?”, as reported by The National, UAE’s English language newspaper.

This is not all, the same hacker also posted screenshots of several high profile UAE based financial and educational institutions, after taking their websites down via DDoS attack.
The list of targeted sites include Noor Islamic Bank, the Central Bank, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, DU telecom and The United Arab Emirates Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT), which is a cyber security coordination center in the UAE.
It is unclear what kind of spying the hacker was referring to. However, at the time of publishing this article all accounts were restored.
