This is not the first time when SilxMe has defaced a high profile police website, in past he hacked and defaced the official website of Lithuanian police department.
However, in a pastie left by MaX0xf on Pastebin explains that he has nothing to do with this hack, according to the paste:
MaX0xf regarding Belgium police hack: I was NOT involved in this attack and I do not know anyone called SlixMe.
I have stopped this a long time ago and I don’t hack anymore and never used to really.
At the time of publishing this article, the police website was restored and working online.
