It is, however, unclear if the social media giant has been hit by a cyber attack or it is some technical issue. Instagram’s app users, on the other hand, are also not happy with the situation. Currently, the app displays “Couldn’t refresh the feed” error.

At the time of publishing this article, Instagram’s website was online for us here in Milan, Italy but tweets sent out to HackRead from readers showed that website is displaying “5xx server error.”
5xx server error is a general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the website’s server, but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem was.
Moreover, Instagram’s app also failed to load or refresh the feed. The Facebook-owned platform has billions of users worldwide, therefore, its outage matters and hopefully, the service will be back online for everyone.
